Clewel Travel · Épernay, Hautvillers and Reims
A private Mercedes takes you from your Paris hotel to Moët & Chandon in Épernay and Veuve Clicquot in Reims, with Hautvillers and the cathedral in between. It is the one tour here that books both famous houses by name, and you choose the tasting level at each.

Most Champagne tours name the big house "subject to availability". Clewel Travel's private day is built around two named ones. A Mercedes E220 for two or three people, or a Mercedes minivan for up to seven, picks you up at 7:30 a.m. At 10:00 you are in the cellars of Moët & Chandon in Épernay, and at 14:45 at Veuve Clicquot in Reims. The houses run the cellar tours themselves, in English.
You choose the level at each house. At Moët, the "Grand Vintage" tour (about 1.5 hours, two glasses, up to 10 people) or the adults-only "Moët Collection" (two hours, up to six). At Veuve Clicquot, "Une Seule Qualité" with four cuvées, or "L'art du vieillissement", two hours with four cuvées and cheese. Between the two come a stop at the Hautvillers viewpoint and the church of Saint-Sindulphe, and after Veuve Clicquot half an hour in Reims Cathedral on your own. Drop-off is around 8 p.m.
Be clear about the price. It uses tiered pricing, so the per-person cost falls as the group grows. Meals and drinks are extra, lunch in Épernay included. The driver speaks English, but the guiding happens inside the houses. Booked directly, Moët's Grand Vintage tour and Veuve Clicquot's own visits cost much less, and the TGV reaches Reims in about 45 minutes. What you pay for is the car, the timing and two famous cellars in one day without changing trains.
