Ô Chateau · Paris, the Seine
Ô Chateau, a Paris wine-tasting company, pours three Champagnes in a private salon at the front of a Seine boat, with a wine guide explaining what is in the glass. It is the option for anyone who wants to taste Champagne properly but has an hour, not a day.

Not everyone has 11 hours for Champagne. Ô Chateau's cruise takes one. You board at the Vedettes de Paris dock at Port de Suffren, at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, and sit in a private salon at the front of the boat, with access to the deck. A sommelier or wine guide pours three Champagnes, usually a Brut, an Extra-Brut and a rosé, and explains how to read a label while the boat runs past the monuments.
Ô Chateau's own page describes the wines as coming from boutique wineries and lists a 6 p.m. sailing, which puts you on the river in the early evening light. That focus on small producers is the closest you get in Paris to the grower visits on a day trip, and a guest calls it "nice grower champagne".
Keep expectations right. It is a tasting, not a cellar visit: no chalk galleries, no vineyards, and the boat is shared with other passengers outside the salon. Three pours in an hour is a relaxed pace. As a taster before a full day in Champagne, or instead of one, it works well.
